		<description>I thought it was interesting that you chose Gen. 3:7 to represent pride. I tend to think about the emotion represented here as shame--but perhaps shame, like pride, cannot come without an awareness of self, or a feeling of the importance of self. 

I tend to think of those who are prideful as without shame, like the wicked in psalm 10 who neither humble before God nor care what God thinks. At the same time, I think of humility as containing a component of shame, or at least an awareness of one&#039;s own fallibility. 

Maybe a distinction can be made between pride as an awareness of the self in relation to others and humility as an awareness of self in relation to God. Ok, I&#039;m going to stop rambling. BK</description>
