This service sounds great, Bowie. I have just a few thoughts:
~Valentine’s Day was a feast day until 1969, when it was dropped from the list because no one was really sure who Valentine actually was. Almighty and everlasting God, who kindled the flame of your Love in the heart of your holy martyr Valentine: Grant to us, your humble servants, a like faith and power of love, that we who rejoice in his triumph may profit by his example; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
~It’s been suggested that Valentine’s Day is a Christianization of the Roman holiday, Lupercalia. Lupercalia was crazy - if you haven’t read about it, you should.
~It’d be neat to bust out some good old-fashioned biblical eroticism (other than the song of songs, I’m a big fan of Adam and Eve)
~Finally, Transmission includes people who are sexually active as well as people who are intentionally celibate. In the postmodern spirit, I think it’s important to make sure everyone has an access point to the ritual.

Oh, and W&W, I’ve probably listened to Sexy Jesus thirty times since Bowie first introduced me to it. I’m a big fan.
Bowie, if you need me to prep out any music for this service (hymns, psalms, pop songs), just let me know. We didn’t have any group singing at our last Transmission and I missed it.

Hi all!
I just wanted to sincerely thank you for a wonderful evening wth new friends. You all are truly special. The first thing I did when I got home was call up my parents and say “I think I finally found a home!” I can’t wait to see you all next week.
Peace.
